A Cabin in the Wilderness

A little house, tumble down and derelict… I spotted it set back off the roadside and just had to explore…

The grass was chest high at parts, with the most beautiful of purple flowers contrasting against the white washboard front…

As I crept in I was mindful of the floorboards .. long since rotten and creaky underfoot. To be in there alone was eerie.. and peaceful…

It reminded me of a special book I had once read.. the film of which I had watched on the plane over to Canada… The Notebook…A very special film… a hopeful film. One day I’d love to buy a place like this.. do it up and live happily ever after! Writing books, making soup and travelling the world .. always to return home ❀️
